Popular beverage drops LDL cholesterol by five to six points

When it comes to lowering cholesterol, you have a number of options. We’ve received countless letters from folks who have seen their cholesterol drop with Advanced Cholesterol Formula. Researchers at Peking Union Medical College in China wanted to find out if green tea lowers cholesterol. The researchers looked at the results of 14 previous studies. All of these studies had two groups: one that either drank green tea or took green tea extract tablets and a second that didn’t consume any green tea. The study period in all of the trials lasted from three weeks to three months.

While the green tea did lower overall cholesterol by an average of 7.2 mg/dL compared to those who didn’t use green tea, the bigger news was how much it dropped LDL cholesterol. Remember, LDL is the “bad” cholesterol when it’s oxidized. The participants using green tea saw their cholesterol drop by 2.2 mg/dL. That was a drop of slightly less than 2%. That doesn’t sound like a lot, and critics say it isn’t much. But none of these studies lasted longer than 12 weeks. So longer use could bring it down even more.

The problem with modern medicine is that it only appreciates immediate results, like you see with drugs. The quick action gets everyone’s attention, but then they forget about all the long-term problems. Supplements and foods will often take longer to take effect, but the results rarely (if ever) have side effects, and they’re longer lasting.

This was proven in another study from Western University of Health Sciences. This study looked at 20 trials that lasted up to 24 weeks – twice as long as the first study. In this study, the researchers found that LDL levels dropped by five to six points. With twice as much time, the results improved more than double.

We can learn a few lessons from these studies. First, don’t fall for the quick fix. You’ll pay a price with your health if you do. Second, don’t expect foods and supplements to work overnight. Give them time to work. Third, maintain your new healthy habits for as long as you can, indefinitely if possible. And, finally, drink green tea to lower your cholesterol. If you don’t like the taste of green tea, then simply take an extract, like Green Tea Extract.

Green tea is one of the healthiest beverages you can drink, so feel free to drink as much as you want. It may lower your cholesterol, protect your heart, boost your memory, and give you many other benefits as well.
