The two most common skin cancers are basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. These cancers are rarely life-threatening. The researchers made a potentially life-saving discovery for anyone with a history of skin cancer. They discovered that women with a history of non-melanoma skin cancer developed 57% fewer melanomas than those who took the placebo. That’s a huge difference!

Even though the sun is the best source of vitamin D, deficiency is common even among those who spend a lot of time outdoors. So most doctors recommend taking plenty of vitamin D. How much is plenty?
