How this little-known mineral could be a miracle for osteoporosis sufferers

When it comes to fighting osteoporosis, you typically hear about calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, and strontium. All of those nutrients are vital for healthy bones. But there's another nutrient that we need to add to the discussion. That's because there's an herb that has an amazing ability to repair and solidify bone.

Most people haven't heard of the herb horsetail. This plant has a long, slender structure that resembles the tail of a horse, which is where it gets its name. What makes horsetail so effective at building your bones is that this plant is extremely effective at absorbing minerals. And one mineral it is especially effective at absorbing is silicon.

So what's so special about silicon? Well, quite a bit. In fact, what I'm about to tell you may change the way we think about fighting osteoporosis.

About 50 years ago, a French biologist named Louis Kervran found out something quite special about silicon. He conducted numerous tests on rats that suffered from bone fractures. He compared the impact of silicon and calcium on bone healing. He found that not only did silicon help the fractures heal better than the calcium, but they healed much, much faster!

Professor Kervran found that by the end of only 17 days the rats' bone fractures were almost completely healed when they ate organic silicon. However, those taking the calcium had bones that were still in the early stages of repair. And newer studies have confirmed what Kervran discovered.

How is this possible? Believe it or not, your body is able to absorb silicon and turn it into a far more bio-available form of calcium than you can take in a supplement. Scientists call this process a biological transmutation. And it isn't very common. In fact, there are several very specific biological and chemical processes that have to be in place for it to happen. If even one of these processes is out of place, it won't happen. In other words, your body's ability to turn silicon into calcium is a biological miracle!

What I find absolutely incredible is that the herb horsetail is one of the best sources of silicon we have. In other words, this plant is better at extracting this mineral from the ground than any laboratory extraction we've discovered. So most forms of silicon you find in supplements comes from horsetail. This form is completely safe to consume. And it could be the "missing link" in the battle against osteoporosis.

Unfortunately, very few doctors know about Kervran's research. So don't wait for your doctor to tell you about silicon. You can find silicon from horsetail in Ultimate Bone Support.

Since your body has to change the silicon into calcium, it won't compete with the strontium in this supplement. The biological process separates the two minerals so they can work together instead of competing against each other (normal supplemental calcium will compete with strontium). Many people have asked why Ultimate Bone Support doesn't contain calcium or magnesium. This is the reason why.

And since the silicon is a better solution for your bones than calcium, there's no reason to add extra calcium. Most people get all the calcium they need from their diet. If you do take extra calcium, make sure you don't take more than 600 mg per day and take it away from Ultimate Bone Support.
