Why calcium deposits can lead to a heart attack – and how to avoid both

A few weeks ago, I told you about an amazing medicinal herb that can help relieve the pain of kidney stones. After I sent that article, one reader, Tom C. sent me a very astute question. His email read: "I read your comments on chanca piedra and its effects on calcium oxalate. My question is: Do you think or are there any studies on the effect of chanca piedra on calcium deposits such as in shoulders or heels, etc.? Curious, and thank you."

That's a great question. Thank you for sending it in. As I mentioned in my original article, chanca piedra is great at dissolving calcium oxalate crystals. Most calcium deposits around the joints are not made of oxalate, which is more common in the urinary tract. But that doesn't mean chanca piedra won't help.

In fact, it's quite possible the chanca piedra will work so well, you'll experience relief immediately or within a day or two. It's an extremely powerful herb for the treatment of calcium build-up.

However, I wouldn't rely on chanca piedra alone. If you have calcium deposits, it's highly likely you have general calcification throughout your body. That means potential calcification of the arteries, which can lead to heart attacks. It also can lead to cancer and other deadly diseases. So you need to treat your entire body for calcification. Chanca piedra can definitely help. But there's more you should do.

You'll need to change the pH in your body. Changing your diet is vital for this. But apple cider vinegar can go a long way in this area. And it can help break up the calcium deposits as well. Drink one tablespoon of it daily diluted in water. My aunt has a friend who is over 100 years old. She says her secret to longevity is drinking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every day. I can't guarantee the same for you, but it's worth trying. I use apple cider vinegar, along with a little honey, in warm water to battle colds. It's very effective for a lot of health benefits.

I also suggest you take magnesium every day (up to 1,000 mg daily or bowel tolerance). Magnesium is vital for your overall health, but it's especially important for your heart. It will help keep your arteries from getting calcification. Fish oil, like that found in Complete Daily Oils, can do the same.
