In this study, researchers divided 90 generally healthy people into three groups. The first group received the placebo. The study went on for 14 days. Then the researchers used the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) and the McGill pain questionnaire to evaluate changes in pain and mobility. The results in the researchers own words: “Data from our study clearly indicate that short-term use of calcium fructoborate in combination with chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine was effective in reducing knee discomfort and improving the physical mobility of the joints." In fact, it helped the general health and mobility of the joints by 24%. And it improved joint pain by 25% over the glucosamine and chondroitin alone.
