What if I told you there was a natural solution to addiction that can completely wipe out drug and alcohol cravings, even nicotine cravings? And what if I told you this solution could do so in just a matter of days? Would you believe me?
Not only is this solution available – it’s extremely effective and can change lives faster than any other medical solution I’ve seen. Just ask John.
John came to the Real Health Medical Clinic in Roswell, Georgia a complete heroin addict. He was only 22, but had been in complete bondage to the drug for over six years – meaning he had started in early high school.
This is a tragedy we see all the time. I’ve worked in substance abuse programs off and on for over 15 years. More and more high school and college kids are getting hooked on heroin because of pain pills. Many of them get injured, take narcotics for the pain, and end up hooked on the drugs. When their money runs out, they shift over to heroin because it’s cheaper and gives a similar high.
John hadn’t suffered an injury. He just got involved with drugs through some friends in his school. However, he wasn’t your typical addict. He was highly functional. He was in college and getting very good grades. But his addiction was destroying his life.
When he arrived at the clinic, the minute he opened his mouth, he was lying (which is very common for addicts). He told the receptionist he had taken an Uber to the clinic. The truth was he had taken his car out of storage where his dad had it hidden. He went through his treatments for the morning, but refused to have lunch brought to him. He wanted to leave and get it himself. So he took his car out and proceeded to total it and two other cars. His addiction was clearly a danger to himself and to others.
John came back for treatment and managed to get almost to the end of the day, but decided to walk out before finishing treatment. Again, it’s very common for addicts to “escape” from any kind of facility to go get high again.
The staff didn’t think they’d see John again, but he surprised them. He walked back in and said “I’m ready.” The doctors, having considerable experience with addicts, told him, “No, you’re not. You’re still wanting to control this.” He was still using and wouldn’t follow the doctors’ orders.
The doctors insisted on two sober companions. One of the doctors arranged for two state troopers from Mississippi who are skilled at this task to be flown in to stay with him. Once he submitted to the doctors, he was ready to begin the program.
Fast Detox Without the Usual Side Effects
John really didn’t have a clue about what he was about to experience. But it would completely change his life.
Heroin withdrawal usually takes at least a week. And the symptoms can be severe. Addicts coming off heroin usually experience nausea, abdominal pain, sweating, shaking, nervousness, agitation, depression, muscle spasms, and severe cravings for drugs. But John’s detox was so fast, he had only mild side effects – and those were gone very quickly. His cravings were completely gone.
So what is the treatment and why does it work so well?
The Cause of Addiction
Addiction is a complex health condition with multiple underlying factors: spiritual, emotional, and physiological. Some addicts are able to completely recover simply by dealing with the spiritual aspects of their addiction. But many people may still struggle with cravings and “night terrors” about using drugs even after traditional rehab programs and even after spiritual counseling.
The reason? Neither of these address the underlying change in their biochemistry caused by the drug(s).
The physiological or biochemical side of addiction usually requires medical intervention. While most doctors and rehab facilities rely on medication, there’s no need to replace one type of drug with another.
Using nutritional and biochemically targeted therapy and a comprehensive detoxification strategy, drug residues can be eliminated from the body and nervous system, neurotransmitter levels balanced, drug cravings eliminated, and overall health and vitality restored.
So our personalized protocols can include:
• Simplify withdrawal and eliminate cravings
• Restore or balance neurotransmitter levels
• Improve brain function and mood
• Resolve anxiety, depression, and sleep
• No long-term medications
• Two-week detox program – on an outpatient basis
• Targeted nutritional support – followed by a three-month restorative phase
• NAD amino acid therapy
Nutritional NAD Therapy
I’ve told you about NAD, or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, in the past. This is a naturally occurring co-enzyme of niacin (vitamin B3). This vitamin is crucial for taking the energy we get from food and converting it into cellular energy that our bodies can use. Without adequate levels of NAD, your cells don’t get the energy they need to keep you functioning properly.
When you abuse drugs and alcohol, it depletes your natural levels of NAD. This makes it more difficult for your body to convert the energy from food into usable energy.
You may have noticed that some people are more prone to addiction than others. One reason is that people who are more susceptible to addiction naturally produce less NAD. As a result, it’s easier for them to become addictive – and much harder for them to come off of the drugs.
Without the energy to function properly, people with low levels of NAD crave more energy. The drugs provide them with an almost immediate boost in energy, giving them that high feeling. This creates an endless cycle where the drugs deplete the NAD levels, causing the person to feel less energy, so they take more drugs, which depletes the NAD levels even more. It’s a deadly cycle that’s extremely difficult to get out of.
When an addict stops the drugs, their body doesn’t have any energy supply. Food doesn’t help, other drugs don’t fix the problem (they only continue the cycle), and severe side effects occur as a result.
But when a doctor delivers abundant levels of NAD to the addict, it does several things that help them overcome the addiction. First, it restores the body’s desired levels of NAD. This supplies the cells with the energy they crave, and make the person less dependent on the drugs. Second, those restored energy levels eliminate the cravings and most of the other side effects a normal detox program produces. And third, it restores the body’s physiologically functioning to a normal level. This makes the addict less “addictive” and it also eliminates many of the other issues that go along with drug withdrawal. These include depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other brain disorders.
But there’s more to this therapy that benefits the addict. NAD therapy also flushes out all of the drugs that are still in the user’s system. This prevents the painful, drawn-out detox process that makes withdrawal so hard. And it removes the impact these drugs can continue to have on the brain. So the person’s thinking process clears very quickly. Instead of a clouded withdrawal, the person begins to think clearer and sees hope for the first time. This is a huge benefit! Addicts often feel like there’s no way out of their situation. When they see hope for the first time, it’s a feeling that’s more powerful than the drugs.
And, finally, since the NAD is producing more energy naturally, the body can continue to produce the energy, keeping the person on solid ground for immediate future. This means the person won’t have the jitters like they will with other substances, such as caffeine, nicotine, or other drugs.
NOTE: If the elements that led to the initial addiction are not dealt with (whether these are spiritual issues, relational issues, or something else) then the person can still go back into the addiction – and often will. So we always encourage Biblical counseling to help heal the whole person.
What Is NAD Therapy?
You can take NAD via sublingual (under the tongue) tablets, but these won’t give you the level of NAD necessary to overcome addiction. For addiction, the co-enzyme is placed in an IV and slowly dripped into the bloodstream. By administering it via IV, it allows the NAD to bypass the stomach and travel directly to the brain. This is important. You have to get massive amounts of NAD to the brain to stop the addiction. And an IV is the only way to do so.
When you get the IV, it provides an instant boost of energy. This will enhance the mood and awareness. The feeling is quite euphoric. This effect is so enticing, even people without an addiction can use the IV to overcome depression, low energy, anxiety, and other brain issues. Even Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s patients can benefit from an NAD IV. And it can help you look and feel much younger, so it’s great to use as a preventive even if you’ve never suffered from an addiction. The best part is that the preventive IV course isn’t nearly as involved as the addiction protocol. So you can do it as a regular treatment appointment, receiving a “top off” every six to eight weeks. Plus, it’s not as expensive as a full addiction protocol.
So what happened to John? I’d say it’s miraculous, but it’s not a one-time miracle. Anyone can experience what he did.
By day 10, John was feeling completely different. His thinking was clear, he was making plans for the future (something addicts rarely do), and he felt great. He said, “You told me this would happen, but I didn’t believe you. I didn’t think there was any way this treatment could wipe out my cravings and make me feel great. But that’s exactly what it’s done.”
John thought the detox would be terrible. The painful withdrawal and horrible cravings make it unbearable. But John didn’t experience that. Instead, he felt incredible for the first time. He was ready to take on life rather than give up on it. And he was able to have a normal conversation without lying, without jitters, and without feeling the need to escape. He was comfortable in his own skin.
By the end of the protocol, John was a new man. He had no desire for drugs and he was ready to move forward. What a change! And it’s one you can experience. If you or a loved one has any addiction-related issues, NAD therapy and a full addiction protocol is a must! It’s not an inexpensive treatment, but it is far less expensive than addiction and it will change your life.
