On Tuesday, I showed you how one nutrient — folic acid — can help save your vision if a folic acid deficiency is causing your vision problems. However, folic acid isn't the only nutrient that can help save your eyesight. Another study found that nutrients can work for the more common problems of macular degeneration and cataracts.
This report came out in the prestigious American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. It says that taking eye-sparing nutrients likely will benefit AMD sufferers. What's more, they might "possibly" benefit those who suffer with cataracts.

This article was a study of several previous studies, which shows the amount of research on nutrients and eye health. They all make it very clear that getting ample nutrients in your diet and by taking supplements can prevent AMD.
If you already have AMD, or are concerned about it, it's vital you take a supplement specifically formulated for eye health. There are many excellent supplements on the market. These can fortify you with the nutrients studied to protect your macula. My favorite supplement is Advanced Vision Formula, because I think it greatly improves on most of the formulas on the market. And because I know it works.
I started taking this formula over 15 years ago when I wore glasses for nearsightedness. After taking it for about a year, I noticed I wasn't wearing my glasses anymore. My eyesight wasn't bad without the glasses before taking the nutrients. But this formula definitely improved my vision. I haven't worn glasses since.
