Make your brain work twice as fast

Last week, I showed you how to make your brain function twice as well simply by drawing. But what if you could also make your brain work twice as fast?

And what if you could do it by taking just one nutrient?

Sounds too good to be true. But a new study says it’s possible.

The researchers who conducted this study wanted to find out what would happen if they increased the average dose of a nutrient they already knew to be good for the brain.

So they found 176 healthy men and women between the ages of 18-45 who were deficient in DHA. DHA, as you probably know, is a component of fish oil and grass-fed beef.

Most DHA supplements contain 120-500 mg of DHA. So the researchers wanted to know what would happen if they more than doubled this dose.

What happened was astounding. In fact, we’ve never seen results like this before.

Taking twice as much DHA increases your brain’s processing speed — and not just by a little bit, by double!

It sounds incredible, but these researchers didn’t leave any room to doubt their results. Here’s what they did.

First, they measured the participants’ brain function using a battery of objective computer tests. These tests analyzed memory, attention, reaction time, attention, and processing speed. Then they divided the participants into two groups and gave one group a placebo and the second group 1.16 grams (1,160 mg) of DHA.

Then, after six months, they put all the participants through the tests again.

All of these tests showed that the brains of those taking the DHA worked twice as fast as those taking the placebo.

What’s more, the researchers didn’t see any side effects in any of the subjects. So these high levels are perfectly safe!

What You Should Do

So unless you eat a lot of fish and grass-fed beef, start taking at least 1 gram of DHA a day – 1.5 grams (1,500 mg) is better.

There are several good manufacturers that make high-quality 500 mg DHA capsules. These include Nordic Naturals, microingredients, and NOW. You can find them online. Just take two to three of the capsules daily.

And make sure you take them for at least six months before drawing a conclusion on their effectiveness. It takes that long to fully correct a deficiency.
