I've shown you in the past why it’s important to wait a little while before making your bed. Make it too quickly and it traps moisture, which invites dust mites, mold, and other bugs into your bed.
Getting rid of these bugs in your sheets is easy. Just throw them in the washing machine.
But what about your mattress? If your mattress has any of these bugs in it, what can you do?
Fortunately, the answer is quite simple.
When you wash your sheets and mattress cover, simply spray your mattress with a concoction you can make for a few pennies.
Here’s how you make it. In a spray bottle, mix the following:
• 1 cup of boiled water that has cooled
• 1 cup of vinegar
• 8 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
• 8 drops of lavender essential oil
• 8 drops of peppermint essential oil
• 5 drops of colloidal silver
Shake the bottle thoroughly and spray it directly onto your mattress. Don’t soak the mattress, just give it a light misting. Do this when you take the sheets off so it has time to dry before you make the bed again.
The concoction will kill any dust mites, mold spores, or other bugs that get in the mattress. It will prevent an infestation in between treatments. And it will help your mattress smell great.
