Don't listen to bogus studies that say multivitamins don't prevent cancer

You may have heard in recent years that taking vitamins doesn’t lower your risk of cancer. Most of these studies looked at high doses of singular vitamins, such as vitamins A or E. But what about a multivitamin? Will it help you lower your risk of cancer? A new study says yes! This new study followed 15,000 men over the age of 50. Half of them took a placebo and the other half took a Centrum Silver multivitamin. After following the group for over 10 years, the researchers found that those taking the multivitamin had an 8% lower risk of having any cancer.

For 12 years, they tracked their blood levels of lycopene, the carotenoid antioxidant, and evaluated their stroke risk.
