If you have mildly high blood pressure, do you experience a loss of libido, sudden pain, urinary infections, asthma symptoms, insomnia, depression, coughing, rashes, dizziness, drowsiness, constipation, or diarrhea? If so, it could be the medication you’re taking to lower your pressure. A new study in the British Medical Journal says these and a myriad of other “side effects” are the result of over-treating blood pressure with medication. What’s worse, the drugs don’t offer any protection from heart attacks, strokes, or death. And in some cases, they can even cause death!
