It’s Memorial Day. A time to remember those who have fallen in the defense of our great nation. On a day when we honor those who died in war, I also wanted to bring hope to some of those veterans who are still alive but suffer from a war-time enemy few know about. And, at the same time, show you how to protect yourself from similar threats. You may have heard about Gulf War Syndrome. It’s the name of a condition affecting hundreds of thousands of veterans who have served in the Middle East wars. It can cause of wide array of symptoms. These include acute and chronic symptoms, such as fatigue, headaches, balance and memory problems, muscle and joint pain, and skin problems. The syndrome made national headlines when severe birth defects began to occur in the children of Gulf War vets.
